Here’s everything you need to know about the Kobe Bryant memorial, set for Los Angeles, CA on Monday.

When news hit that former Los Angeles Lakers GOAT Kobe Bryant had died the entire world stood still. Millions of people all across the world, from celebrities to politicians to actors and fans came together to share their memories of the basketball great. Now, weeks later the official Kobe and Gianna Bryant memorial will be taking place in Los Angeles, CA.

Here’s everything you need to know about the ceremony.

What’s happening?

The memorial will honor Kobe, Gianna and the other passengers who died aboard the helicopter.

When does it start?

The service starts at 10 a.m PT/1 p.m ET on Monday, Feb. 24. The doors will open to ticket holders at 8 a.m. PT.

The date was chosen (2/24/20) because Kobe’s jersey was 24 and his daughters, who also died in the crash was 2. The 20 symbolizes the years Kobe was with the Lakers and the years he was married to his wife Vanessa.

Where can I watch?

If you are one of the lucky 20,000 people with a ticket you can watch inside the Staples Center. For those of us who didn’t get a ticket, the entire memorial will be aired on NBA TV.  Livestreams will also be available on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and local TV stations will also be airing it.

Who will be there?

So far there are no confirmed or announced guests or speakers but some of the names that are likely to attend are: Shaquille O’Neal, Del Harris, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Dwayne Wade, Queen Latifah and Common.

Where is it being held?

The memorial will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Can I still get tickets?

Unfortunately, no. The tickets have already been handed out and Los Angeles police are urging fans not to flock to the Staples Center if they don’t hold tickets to the memorial.
