3. Norwich keep survival hopes alive with win over Leicester

Norwich stormed the Championship last season with fast and free-flowing soccer that no other side could keep up with. They’ve brought that similar style to the Premier League but it hasn’t paid off as the Canaries sit rock bottom and look destined for relegation.

Many think they should have adopted a new style mid-season in order to maintain their Premier League status but their commitment to good soccer has been admirable. Daniel Farke’s side will also be strong favorites to come straight back up to the Premier League because not much will have changed for them, meaning they can go back to blowing away Championship sides next season.

Should they go down and then return to the Premier League in 2021 they will also have built upon that style and probably strengthened their squad which would give them a better opportunity of survival. A great escape isn’t totally out of the question this season just yet.

The Canaries desperately need to start picking up points if that is to happen though. They can start by beating Leicester on Friday as draws aren’t really good enough for Farke’s side anymore. Leicester have been sensational this season and will probably dominate the ball in this game.

That will mean Norwich’s chances will be few and far between and almost certainly come from counter-attacks. In those counter-attacking moments the likes of Teemu Pukki and Emiliano Buendia need to be clinical. If they can find the back of the net then Norwich could win this one.

Pukki will bag a double with Buendia instrumental in both goals. Jamie Vardy will get a late reply for Leicester but it won’t be enough as the Canaries win 2-1, keeping their minute chances of Premier League survival alive.
