Duke already got upset by Wake Forest this week, and they are one of five teams that need to be on upset alert this weekend as well.

The college basketball season is starting to wind down and the upsets are flying. Duke got taken down by Wake Forest earlier this week, which isn’t that unusual an occurrence this season.

The upsets have come fast and furiously this year, where anyone can really beat anyone due to an unforeseen level of parity. The last two weeks in this space have correctly nailed six out of 10 upset picks so if your name is on this list you need to be on alert.

Let’s look at five potential upset victims once again, beginning with one of Duke’s ACC rivals, Florida State.

No. 6 Florida State at Clemson – Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra

The Seminoles are currently atop the ACC after an emphatic win over Louisville on Monday. That 15-point victory completed a season sweep of the Cardinals, and a huge effort like that often leaves teams primed for a letdown in their next game. That contest comes on the road against a 14-13 Clemson team that is better than its record indicates. The Tigers have already beaten Duke, NC State and Louisville at home so the Seminoles have to be very careful in this one.

No. 13 Seton Hall at Marquette – Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX

The Pirates have been the Big East’s top dogs this season, but they have gone just 4-3 over their last seven games. This weekend offers up a tricky date at Marquette, which features a game-wrecking player in Markus Howard. The nation’s second-leading scorer, Howard dropped 30 in a win over Georgetown earlier this week and can bomb the Pirates away if Seton Hall isn’t careful.

No. 7 Duke at Virginia – Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN

It would be an incredible fall for Duke to drop two games to unranked teams this week, but Virginia is a far better opponent than Wake Forest. The Cavaliers have trouble putting the ball in the basket but the Pack Line defense is still elite, allowing the second-fewest points per game in the country. After stumbling in the middle of the season Virginia has responded with wins in eight of their last ten games, making them a dangerous opponent for a young Blue Devils’ squad.

No. 5 San Diego State at Nevada – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2

The Aztecs are no longer undefeated but that doesn’t make the target on their backs any smaller. There is nothing to gain for San Diego State in this game, which has already secured the top seed in the Mountain West Tournament, but Nevada has won six straight and is deadly from beyond the arc. The Wolf Pack shoot 38.2 percent from distance and if the Aztecs come out flat they could get run out of the gym on Senior Night in Reno.

No. 21 Colorado at Stanford – Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU

It is bad to enter March on a skid, and that is exactly what has happened to Colorado. The Buffaloes have dropped two straight games to fall into fourth place in the Pac-12 and they hit the road again for a showdown with a desperate Stanford squad. The Cardinal has stopped the bleeding by picking up three straight wins but they need this game a lot more than Colorado does in order to feel good about their bubble chances.
