The Buffalo Bills lacked early draft picks and had to make the most of every selection to ensure improvement across the roster in 2020.

While the Buffalo Bills lacked a first round pick, they made up for it by selecting a first round talent on day two. Buffalo, a playoff team a year ago, will aim to again compete in an improved and wide open AFC East. Tom Brady is no longer in the picture, but the Patriots still have a team that can win the division. Both the Jets and Dolphins are improved too, and this could really go either way.

The Bills looked to make small improvements in order to make a deeper playoff run. Always a defensive minded team, that didn’t change through this draft. Buffalo also looked to give quarterback Josh Allen some more tools on offense, in order to lessen the burden on him and second-year running back Devin Singletary.

A mix of offensive and defensive players taken in the draft will help provide balance in Buffalo, but many of them will have to make a mark on special teams as well. That could be the difference between another playoff appearance or a short end to the season in snowy New York.
