Jo Adell and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad play.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim just called up Jo Adell a few days ago and he’s already had a pretty big flub. But hey, at least he’s gotten out the most embarrassing play of his career right at the beginning.

On Sunday’s game with the Texas Rangers, Nick Solak hit the ball deep into right field where the rookie was waiting for what was looking like an easy out … that’s not how it turned out though.

The ball bounced right out of his glove and into the stands for what was announced a home run. It was later ruled a four-run error but honestly, tomato-tomato, right?

Don’t count Jo Adell for the season

Don’t think for a minute this means Adell isn’t a great player. Everyone makes mistakes and he realized right away what he’d done. Pretty sure that won’t ever happen again.

At press time the Rangers were ahead 8-3 in the top of the 8th inning.
