If you haven’t been a fan of the Serbian big man, this postgame interview with Shaq will make you one immediately

When it comes to fan favorites around the NBA, Boban Marjanovic comes to mind first. The 7-foot big man is known for his light-hearted and fun personality throughout his career, something that his teammates (and opponents) appreciate the most about him.

Even though he has been mostly a role player, the Dallas Mavericks center got his time in the limelight Tuesday night. Marjanovic played a critical role in Game 2, helping his team even their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers at one game apiece.

In 10 minutes of floor time, he dropped 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting, also adding nine rebounds and one assist. The box score doesn’t tell the whole story, however, as he set solid screens all night and creating lanes for his teammate by using his big frame.

We can’t get enough of Boban Marjanovic

He was the post-game guest on Inside The NBA on TNT, where he had one of the most entertaining interviews since the NBA restart (perhaps all season). Marjanovic began the interview admitting he was nervous because the headphones he was using didn’t fit on his head. He made sure to mention that if they broke he promised to buy new ones. That set the tone for the rest of the interview, as it was heart-warming and downright hilarious.

The gentle giant discussed how he, along with the other bench players make sure to provide energy when the come in the game. Dallas’ bench outscored the Clippers bench 47-37 in Game 2, so the Mavs’ bench unit did exactly what Marjanovic was talking about. He also talked about what his role is on the team and how he has become a mentor to Kristaps Prozingis. He was seen walking Porzingis back to the locker room after he was ejected in Game 1, so Marjanovic provided insight into how he provided advice for his teammate at that moment.

The TNT crew made sure to have fun with the big guy, asking him about him getting beat up by Keanu Reeves in the John Wick movie. The Serbian-born player also mentioned how his teammate Luka Doncic needs to buy him a drink or dinner after all the hard work he’s been putting in for him. He also added that he can hit a jump shot if needed but “that is still a work in progress. Loading, three dots.”

Everyone loves Boban Marjanovic, and this interview only makes people love him more. You can watch the interview in its entirety below.
