Freddie Freeman congratulating Alec Bohm proves he’s the nicest guy in baseball.

It’s not often that rival baseball players are celebrating each other’s home runs, but Atlanta Braves’ Freddie Freeman isn’t just any regular baseball player and we’re totally on board with his personality. Freeman was mic’d up for the team’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday and we caught this gem of an exchange between him and Alec Bohm.

Freeman jokes with Bohm about having a good story to tell about the home run ball which landed in the water.

“That’s a really nice first home run,” Freeman said to Bohm. “It’s a good story too, ‘why is your ball waterlogged?’ Well … because I hit it 450 feet dead center. Really nice.”

This kind of behavior is indicative of the personality that Freeman shows on the regular and it’s so refreshing.
