5 breakout fantasy football stars to pick up for Week 7
Week 7 is on the way and the fantasy football season is entering a critical time.
No matter which website you play fantasy football through, most leagues cap the regular season around Week 13 or 14. This is so playoffs take place Weeks 15 and 16, to avoid fantasy players having to scramble to fill holes left by key players whose teams have clinched playoff positions. Because coaches likely will bench those starters for Week 17.
Essentially, Week 7 means it is time to moderately panic if you are on the outside looking in on playoff spots, and also time to beef up your team and grab wins to secure possible byes and top seeds.
As has been the case the whole year, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a lot of confusion and unknown for this season. Teams have had to shut down facilities, miss practices, and have games shifted around the schedule to accommodate outbreaks within teams. So, you need as much depth as you can get on your roster.
Currently, the Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, and Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to go on bye in Week 7. The likes of Dalvin Cook, Lamar Jackson, T.Y. Hilton, and Jonathan Taylor will need to be replaced.
