Robert Spillane is making the loss of Devin Bush slightly more tolerable for the Steelers

The Steelers defense started off on the right foot this Sunday. Lamar Jackson is as explosive as ever, and despite not playing up to his MVP form from 2019, the Ravens rush offense remains one of the best in the NFL. The goal of the Steelers’ defense, then, is to make Baltimore beat them through the air. Facing a third-and-medium, Pittsburgh did just that. Jackson misread the Steelers patented zone defense and Spillane made him pay.

It’s a long game, and an early mistake from Jackson won’t limit Baltimore’s potential offensive output in this game.

The Ravens-Steelers rivalry has reached a fever pitch in 2020

Pittsburgh holds he AFC North lead, but not by much. the reigning division champs would retake their typical advantage with a win against the Steelers on Sunday. It would also send a message to Pittsburgh and the NFL that the North still runs through Baltimore, despite the quick start for the Steelers.

Jackson has a short memory, as proven by his Heisman award in college and MVP in just his second NFL season. The Steelers may have rattled Ravens fans, but expect Jackson to bounce back, at least in the interim.
