The goal of the Steelers’ defense, then, is to make Baltimore beat them through the air. Facing a third-and-medium, Pittsburgh did just that. Jackson misread the Steelers patented zone defense and Spillane made him pay.

It’s a long game, and an early mistake from Jackson won’t limit Baltimore’s potential offensive output in this game.

Jackson has a short memory, as proven by his Heisman award in college and MVP in just his second NFL season. The Steelers may have rattled Ravens fans, but expect Jackson to bounce back, at least in the interim.
