Monday Night Football presents the DFS community with a clash of NFC teams. Let’s take a look at this FanDuel single game slate from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I discuss my FanDuel player picks for Monday night football, let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for both teams and briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Notable DFS Injuries

Rams: OUT: Andrew Whitworth, OT: Kai Forbath, K: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, LB: Taylor Rapp, SS: Terrell Burgess, S.

Bucs: QUESTIONABLE: Rob Gronkowski, TE: Jason Pierre-Paul, LB: Ali Marpet, G: Jack Cichy, LB: Mike Edwards, FS. OUT: Jaydon Mickens, WR: O.J. Howard, TE: Vita Vea, NT.

Let’s shift our focus to the rules for the FanDuel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for Monday Night Football!

MVP

Jared Goff, QB $14,500

The Los Angeles Rams will be facing one of the league’s top defenses when it comes to stopping the run this week. More specifically, the Buccaneers are currently ranked second in the NFL in rushing yards allowed. Through ten games played this season, Tampa Bay is only allowing an average of 76.6 rushing yards a game.

I think it’s safe to say that Rams head coach Sean McVay realizes that if his team is going to beat the Buccaneers on Monday night it will have to be accomplished by throwing the football early and often. I envision a Rams offensive game plan that for the most part abandons the run. That means I fully expect to see Rams quarterback Jared Goff throwing the ball all over the football field on Monday evening.

Over the span of the last four games played in the NFL, the Tampa Bay defense is ranked 25th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position.

Flex Plays

Ronald Jones II, RB $11,500

If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hope to win Monday night’s contest they will need to establish the run. The Rams have an outstanding secondary that has done a good job limiting passing yards this season. Having stated that, I am going to roll with Tampa Bay running back Ronald Jones as one of my flex plays. Jones accumulated 192 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in Tampa Bay’s win over the Carolina Panthers last week.

Rob Gronkowski, TE $8,500

Gronkowski has quickly become one of Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tom Brady‘s favorite targets in the red zone this season. My previous statement is not an opinion, it is based on the available data. In the Buccaneers last five games played, Brady has targeted Gronkowski nine times. Gronkowski has turned those nine red zone receiving targets into five receiving touchdowns.

It should also be mentioned that Gronkowski has been playing outstanding from a fantasy perspective as well. In his last five games played, Gronkowski is averaging 11.18 FanDuel points a game.

Tyler Higbee, TE $7,500

Los Angeles Rams signal caller Jared Goff has targeted tight end Tyler Higbee ten times over the last two football games. Higbee has turned those ten targets into five receptions and 74 receiving yards. Now let’s take a look at the defense that Higbee will face on Monday night. The Tampa Bay defense had had some issues defending the tight end position lately. To be more specific, over the last four games played, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 25th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to the tight end position.

Additionally, I like Higbee’s attractive and affordable price point on this single game slate. Higbee arrives on the slate at the low FanDuel price of only $7,500.

3 replacements for Chirstian McCaffrey. dark. Next

Additional Flex plays I like: Tom Brady, QB $16,000: Robert Woods, WR $12,500: Cooper Kupp, WR $12,000.
