Alabama football head coach Nick Saban shed a few tears after winning his seventh national championship, a rare moment of emotion from the Crimson Tide leader.

Alabama head football coach Nick Saban cemented his name as perhaps the greatest head coach in college football history on Monday night as his top-ranked Crimson Tide knocked off the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes in the College Football National Championship game, 52-24, in Miami, Fla.

After such a tumultuous and bizarre 2020 college football season, Saban’s squad was able to overcome multiple hardships to make sure his team was at its best amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saban’s deep appreciation for what his team accomplished in 2020 was clearly visible as the confetti spilled down from the rooftop of Hard Rock Stadium during the postgame ceremony.

Nick Saban couldn’t stop from crying after winning another national title

The 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest college football teams in the history of the sport, despite the crazy number of disruptions that took place last year.

In a season unlike any other for Saban and his program, the Crimson Tide marched through the regular season undefeated despite not having their head coach for two games and losing one of their star players, Jaylen Waddle, mid-way during the 2020 campaign.

Despite the struggles to keep players safe on and off the field, Crimson Tide stars Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith, and Najee Harris were determined as ever to lead this team to a national championship after missing out a season ago.

The fantastic seasons from all three of the Crimson Tide’s leaders on offense were rewarded with numerous national awards, highlighted by Smith taking home this year’s Heisman Trophy.
