A leaked video of Nick Saban recruiting for his Alabama Crimson Tide shows why he is the best.

Nick Saban has transformed a formerly downtrodden Alabama football program back into the ultimate national power.

Since arriving in Tuscaloosa in 2007, Alabama has won six national championships, made the College Football Playoff six times and had three non-quarterbacks win the Heisman Trophy. Even if he is approaching 70-years-old, Saban is a master recruiter. His program is not letting up any time soon. Watch this leaked video of him recruiting a top high school player. It speaks volumes.

Nick Saban outlines 3 reasons his Alabama football program is the best

While the track record of on-field excellence is undeniable, the biggest way other top college teams negatively recruit against Alabama is by suggesting to recruits the Crimson Tide have too many good players and a prospective recruit will not see the field right away. Saban puts that rumor to bed with a terrific three-pronged answer, one that will make you commit to Alabama.

The first is he feels that notion is dumb because if a guy was not good enough to play at Alabama, why would he be recruiting him in the first place? His second point is by another school even suggesting this, it essentially means they are admitting to not being anywhere as good as Alabama. And third, he believes players whole-heartedly embrace the competition at his program.

Saban mentions how cornerback Marlon Humphrey and wide receiver Amari Cooper went against each other every day in practice. They ended up being first-round picks largely because of this. Offensive tackle Cam Robinson won the Outland Trophy, while defensive lineman Jonathan Allen won the Nagurski. Guess who practiced against each other every day for three years at Alabama?

Ultimately, Saban does a better job of getting the best players than any head coach in the country. This is an area of great passion for him and one he puts an absurd amount of work into. It may come across as a bit rehearsed to some, but the results speak for themselves. It is very difficult to poke any holes in Saban’s strong rebuttal to the negative recruitment that comes Alabama’s way.

Even if this recruiting pitch leaked, it makes Saban and the Alabama program look even better.
