Bryce Harper and his custom Philly Phanatic bat are ready for the season.

The Philadelphia Phillies‘ spring training has kicked off in Florida, and to no one’s surprise, Bryce Harper is the hot topic.

Not only is Harper healthy again and ready to lead the Phillies on a postseason run, but he also has a pretty fire custom bat with the Philly Phanatic on it.

Harper has been at Phillies camp since Tuesday, and even his manager Joe Girardi took notice of his one-of-a-kind bat.

“I love the stuff he comes out with,” Girardi told The Inquirer.

Although Harper’s bat may have stolen the show during his arrival to Spring Training, no one forgot about his struggle with a lower back injury during 2020’s shortened 60-game season. Harper fought through the pain as much as he could, but down the stretch he couldn’t even play in the outfield due to the injury.

Harper, a 15-year veteran now, has — along with a great bat game — one of the more violent swings in the league. The swing, although pretty, can be rough on his body at times. Girardi told reporters his back is something they will continue to keep an eye on.

“We’re really pleased with where he’s at, we’re excited where he’s at. But I think there has to be constant communication,” Girardi said

Harper is healthy and ready to go for the season but isn’t rushing things as he takes on spring training. According to the Inquirer, the Phillies will be cautious with their superstar as he gets back into the swing of things.

Although Harper may have one of the coolest-looking custom bats i’ve ever seen, he will have his work cut out for him in 2021 as the National League East division is being regarded as one of the toughest in 2021. Hopefully the fan favorite Phanatic on his bat can give him some luck.
