NBA legend and analyst Reggie Miller puts an end to the age-old Lebron James vs. Michael Jordan GOAT debate.

There are some sports arguments that will simply never go away. While Tom Brady is doing a lot to separate himself from the pack as far as NFL goat discussions go, the NBA world still struggles to come to a consensus.

While the argument seems never-ending, most fans have narrowed the race down to two. Michael Jordan and LeBron James. One with six championships and a cemented legacy, the other with four and counting, and what seems to be the fountain of youth in Year 18.

It’s oftentimes hard to take the opinions of casual fans seriously but who better to give their take than NBA-great Reggie Miller?

Reggie Miller gives his take on the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James GOAT debate

Miller and Jordan had their fair share of bouts back when they were in their primes, so his take on this discussion is obviously worthy of some respect, whether he chose your guy or not.

Here’s what he told FanSided’s Patrick Schmidt about The King vs. His Airness while promoting his work for Wendy’s being the Official Breakfast of March Madness. Wendy’s will be offering fans a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit* – no purchase necessary – beginning Thursday, March 18 – Saturday, March 20.

“I think in the eyes of many I don’t know if there’s anything LeBron can do to pass Jordan because I think people are always going to be set in their ways because what Mike achieved was phenomenal,” Miller said. “It’s hard to compare eras and rules and players. But both can lay claim to the GOAT. They really can, but you’re going to have your hardcore Jordan fans and I’m one of them. Cause I played against that black cat. I faced him. I only faced LeBron his rookie year and already then I knew I could tell he was going to be great.”

So they’re both GOATS. End of debate.

James will try to repeat as champion this summer with the Lakers in hopes of closing the gap between himself and Jordan. Do you think he’ll get to six?

*No purchase necessary. Offer valid March 18 – 20, 2021 during breakfast hours only. Limit one (1) free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit upon request per customer per day at participating U.S. locations while supplies last.
