The Orlando Magic have been busy ahead of today’s NBA trade deadline and Terrence Ross tweeted the perfect gif to describe his mood.

Before today’s 3 p.m. EST NBA trade deadline, the Orlando Magic have been unloading most of their young talent as they seemingly enter full-fledged tank mode.

On Thursday, Orlando traded Aaron Gordon and Gary Clark to the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu to the Chicago Bulls, and Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics. In return, they’ve received Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr., Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton, a 2025 first-round pick, and two second-round picks.

As pieces start to move around for the Magic, veteran Terrence Ross took to Twitter to make his position on the team known to the newcomers.

Magic look to rebuild, deal veterans ahead of the trade deadline

The Magic sit only above the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference at this moment. Even with the conference struggling the way it has this season, Orlando at 15-29 has no shot of making the playoffs.

Their loading up of draft picks and the fact that they have young players Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz under long-term contracts shows that the Magic had decided to give up on the young core they had built and will look to try again in the future. Fultz’s injury history and Aaron Gordon‘s frustration with management both have blended to the demise of the Magic’s effort to pursue relevancy in the East.

We’ll see if Ross and the other veterans on the team stick around in Orlando after 3 pm. Est. on Thursday.
