The Miami Dolphins are trying to build a dynasty with the recent moves for the NFL Draft

The Miami Dolphins made headlines Friday when they traded the No.3 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers for a multitude  of selections. That’s not the end game though entering April.

The Dolphins have agreed to trade the No.12 pick acquired by the 49ers, plus the No.123 selection and a 2022 first-rounder to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the No.6 selection and pick No.156.

The Eagles were highly interested in trading up to the No.3 spot with Miami in order to select BYU’s Zach Wilson. That never faltered, meaning the Eagles will likely be running it back with Jalen Hurts for another season.

Although the Dolphins seemed to sold on second-year quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, that might not be the case should a quarterback be on the clock with the sixth overall selection. However, no matter what they select, they will be in prime position to land a top-notched player.

What does this trade mean for both sides?

Miami likely is interested in adding a top-tier wide receiver to the corp. Despite the addition of Will Fuller from the Houston Texans, he’s only on a one-year deal, trying to prove he can remain healthy.

Selecting a wide receiver with the third overall pick seems a bit far-fetched in a highly interested QB driven class. With the No.6 spot, Miami still can address the pass-catcher needs by adding someone like Alabama’s Devonta Smith or LSU is Ja’Marr Chase.

As for the Eagles, first your head coach Nick Sirriani we’ll see what he has with Hurts. The team will be able to address multiple needs later on, including wide receiver, linebacker or potentially even cornerback.

Names like Penn State’s Micah Parson, Notre Dame’s Jeremiah Owusu-Koramorah or Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley all should be in play, as should Alabama’s Jaylen Waddle.

The Dolphins added a multitude of picks for the future and still will be in line for a top name on the market. The Eagles now will admit to the rebuild and trust that Hurts could have upside.

Next. Are the Jets getting BYU's Zach Wilson. dark
