During Thursday’s New York Yankees-Toronto Blue Jays game, someone decided to hang a giant “Trump Won, Save America” flag from the second deck.

It has been over six months since the 2020 United State presidential election reached its conclusion, where Joe Biden won the presidency over incumbent Donald Trump with 306 electoral college votes and securing over seven million more popular votes. With Trump still denying that he ever lost, some of his supporters have gone to great lengths to echo his baseless claims that the election was “stolen” from him.

During the second game of Thursday’s doubleheader between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, a group of fans unfurled a giant flag in the second deck of Yankee Stadium which read “Trump Won, Save America.”

The individuals were booed by those attending the game, had their banner confiscated by Yankee Stadium security and were escorted out of the venue.

Not much more needs to be said other than that Trump did not win the 2020 election. Biden won and he is the 46th President of the United States.

After dropping the first game of the doubleheader 2-0 to the Blue Jays, the Yankees won 5-3 in the second act. Following Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette’s three-run home run to give Toronto a 3-1 lead, the Yankees bounced back on a two-run home run and sacrifice fly from outfielder Aaron Judge and a solo homer from catcher Gary Sanchez.
