LA Clippers guard was ejected for an unnecessary shove on Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.

After Devin Booker dropped a 40-point triple-double in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, the LA Clippers inserted Patrick Beverley into the starting lineup to wreak some havoc.

And wreak havoc he did, locking down Booker for the next four games as the Clippers pulled within a 3-2 deficit of the Phoenix Suns. But in Game 6 on the road, both Booker and Chris Paul finally looked like themselves, torching Los Angeles for a game-high 41 points and 8 assists on 16-of-24 shooting.

Before the Suns’ 130-103 series-clinching victory was complete, however, Beverley got fed up with the Point God and gave him an uncalled-for, two-handed shove in the back during a break in the action.

Beverley was ejected for that shove.

Patrick Beverley shows true colors in ugly moment

Beverley and the Clippers battled all series long, which was impressive with their star Kawhi Leonard out. But when the chips were down and the Suns were finally rolling in Game 6, Beverley lost his cool and revealed his true colors.

The Clippers guard is known for being an NBA villain, but this is just a dirty bit of poor sportsmanship on his part. It’s easy to talk trash when you’re team is winning, but he revealed himself as a sore loser in a moment of mental weakness as Phoenix was pulling away.

Now the Suns will advance to their first NBA Finals since 1993, while Beverley will have an entire offseason to think about his final actions on the court of this postseason.
