San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham spent the rain delay eating some ice cream and cotton candy from the concession stands.

The San Diego Padres are looking to enter the win column against the Philadelphia Phillies after they dropped the series-opening game on Friday 4-3 in the tenth inning. But, Saturday afternoon’s game did not start on time due to a rain delay. So, both teams had to play the waiting game.

During the delay, Padres outfielder Tommy Pham decided to eat some ice cream and cotton candy from the Citizen’s Bank Park concession stands, with a little help from some San Diego fans.

Pham led off for the Padres once the rain delay concluded, but he flew out to right fielder Bryce Harper on six pitches. However, the Padres did take an early 2-0 lead over the Phillies after third baseman Manny Machado hit a two-run homer to center field.

Entering Saturday’s game, Pham is slashing .262/.382/.423 while recording nine home runs, 29 RBI, 42 runs scored and 65 hits. In Friday’s series opener against the Phillies, Pham went 0-for-5 at the plate, striking out just once.
