Watch Simone Biles get the homecoming she deserves.

To say gymnastics queen, Simone Biles, had a dramatic time in Tokyo at the 2021 Olympics would be an understatement. The undeniable GOAT was in the headlines more for her lack of performance time than for her bronze medal.

Biles withdrew from many Olympic events due to ongoing mental health concerns but did return towards the tail end of gymnastics portion to win bronze on the balance beam.

But now she’s returned home and her welcoming committee is giving us life.

Simone Biles was criticized for her Olympic departure

“Houston, I’m home,” she wrote accompanied by a series of images embracing her fiends and family. “Thanks for making sure I didn’t have to wait one more minute to see my family United.”

Biles didn’t get a warm reception for her decision to skip Olympic events from everyone. Some people felt she wasn’t being a good athlete, teammate or person. But just as many, if not more, praised her for doing what she felt was right.

Either way, she’s home and safe and that’s what matters.
