You may or may not believe in luck or superstitions or old wives tales. But if you are a New York Yankees fan you are not arguing with whatever it is that has changed the tune for the team.

And it might just be a stray cat.

When the cat interrupted the Yankees vs. Orioles game just two weeks ago, the Yankees were not doing so hot. But ever since the cat ran through the game, the Yankees have been on fire, winning 16 of their 19 games.

If you think that’s just a coincidence, the other team, hasn’t won a single game since. NOT A SINGLE GAME.

If that’s not the ghost of Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle or Lou Gehrig, I don’t know what is.

So next time you see a cat on a MLB field (and it happens a lot more than you think) don’t panic … unless you live in Baltimore.
