The Tennessee Titans have a situation on their hands with quarterback Ryan Tannehill one of seven players on the reserve/COVID list.

With the regular season drawing near, the Tennessee Titans have a problem bubbling to the surface with seven players on the reserve/COVID list.

Head coach Mike Vrabel tested positive after the team’s preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Since then, the Titans have had to place seven players on the list, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Joining Tannehill on the reserve/COVID list are outside linebacker Harold Landry, defensive lineman Anthony Rush, linebacker Nick Dzubnar and running back Jeremy McNichols, tight end Geoff Swaim and linebacker Justin March-Lillard.

Is Ryan Tannehill vaccinated?

Tannehill is vaccinated. He is among the 97 percent of the Titans roster that is vaccinated according to general manager John Robinson.

The vaccination greatly reduces the symptoms and being infected, but it doesn’t eliminate the chances entirely. This is why the term breakthrough cases exist.

Tannehill and the Titans that are vaccinated have done the right thing to ensure a competitive advantage and limit their time away from the team in the event they do test positive.

While there are some interesting decisions made by the NFL when it comes to their COVID protocols, those that are vaccinated will not be away from the team as long as those who are not.

If there is a bright side, it’s that neither Vrabel, Tannehill or any of the other Titans on the reserve list are in any sort of jeopardy of missing any regular-season action and should be ready to rejoin their teammates next week.
