The first upset alert of Week 1 has Ohio State in danger on the road against P.J. Fleck’s Minnesota Golden Gophers at a rowdy TCF Bank Stadium.

Ohio State hasn’t lost a Big Ten game in what feels like forever but Ryan Day’s Buckeyes are on upset alert in the season opener at Minnesota.

After taking an early 10-0 lead against P.J. Fleck’s Golden Gophers, Minnesota scored 14 unanswered points to take command of the game. Now, the home crowd is feeling confident with the Buckeyes on upset alert.

After a C.J. Stroud interception in the second quarter, Minnesota scored their second touchdown of the quarter to take their first lead of the game.

Ohio State on upset alert vs. Minnesota

There is a lot of game left and it’s far from over but the momentum is all on the side of Minnesota.

Mohamed Ibrahim has been unstoppable in the first half and a vulnerable Ohio State defense that’s down both starting cornerbacks has had some rough moments trying to defend Dylan Wright who scored the first touchdown for Minnesota.

With the Buckeyes on upset alert, you know Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Clemson, Alabama fans, and really, college football fans around the country are hoping Minnesota can pull it off.

Meanwhile, Ohio State football fans are going to try and remain calm and chalk the first half up to a first-time starting quarterback showing some nerves and a depleted defense trying to fill in the gaps.

Ohio State is the more talented team so a score or two can take the crowd out of it in a hurry.

Minnesota and Ohio State can be watched on FOX.
