Tom Brady reveals he had COVID after Buccaneers Super Bowl win.

Tom Brady had an intense start to 2021 including winning his first Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now he’s revealed he had COVID-19 shortly after raising the Lombardi Trophy and going on that epic drunken boat ride in Florida.

Brady revealed he had COVID in February while speaking with Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. And unfortunately, he thinks COVID will play a bigger factor in this season.

“I think it’s going to be challenging this year,” he said. “I actually think it’s going to play more of a factor this year than last year, just because of the way what we’re doing now and what the stadium is going to look like and what the travel is going to look like and the people in the building and the fans.

“It’s not like last year, although we’re getting tested like last year. It’s going to be, I definitely think guys are going to be out at different points and we’ve just got to deal with it.”

Last season the team only had minor issues with the pandemic actually causing a disruption to games involving Ronald Jones who missed games against Atlanta and Detroit. Another was Devin White who was forced out of the Atlanta game and the Washington playoffs.
