Tributes, remembrances and special commemorations around college football on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, tributes and memorials are pouring in from around college football.
Many of the programs, coaches and athletic departments around the country have shared pictures of special uniforms they’ll wear today in honor of those that lost their lives in the terrorist attacks and the first responders who fought heroically to save as many lives as they could on Sept. 11.
From helmet decals, patches on jerseys or stripes on the field, the college football world is doing its part to honor and never forget what happened on that day. It may be the last time the nation was united and put aside any political differences. It’s been 20 years and the nation is as divided as it’s been in a long time. Perhaps all these remembrances will be a time for the nation to come together once again and remember we’re all Americans.
