4. Dallas’ secondary will pick Sam Darnold 3+ times

Sam Darnold’s resurgence has been a big key to the Panthers’ surprising 3-0 start. Losing Christian McCaffrey due to injury is going to make life much harder on the former Jets’ quarterback moving forward.

The absence of McCaffrey is going to force Darnold to take more chances down the field in this game. That will play into the hands of the Cowboys’ talented secondary. Trevon Diggs, in particular, is a good bet to come up with at least one interception in this game.

The questionable nature of Carolina’s offensive line should also allow the Cowboys to effectively pressure Darnold on nearly every obvious passing down. That’s when the Carolina signal-caller is at his worst.

The end result will be an ugly stat line for Darnold. He’ll throw at least three picks after being asked to do too much by his offensive coaching staff. Darnold may throw for over 300 yards, but his turnovers are going to doom Carolina on the day.
