Georgia football has the nation’s best defense in college football and one defender thinks they can keep the New England Patriots out of the end zone.

The Georgia defense has been a brick wall for the first five weeks of the season. The defense features several future NFL players, but is the Dawgs defense so good they can match up with an NFL offense?

That type of question has been often been thrown around with regard to whether Alabama could beat the worst NFL team. It’s a ridiculous question. The worst NFL team would destroy the best college football team.

That hasn’t stopped Nolan Smith from saying he thinks his Georgia defense could keep the Patriots from reaching the end zone.

Georgia football: Could the Dawgs shut out an NFL team?

That’s all well and good to have that mindset. It’s that type of mindset that’s served Smith and the Dawgs defense well against Clemson, Arkansas and others to start the year. But to think Georgia would keep the Patriots from scoring is absolutely delusional.

The Patriots would score upward of 63 points against the Georgia defense.

Make no mistake, the Georgia defense is a dominating force that has made offensive linemen have nightmares before playing this front. But there is a big difference between dominating Vanderbilt and South Carolina and an NFL offense.
