The Michigan Wolverines are now 7-0 on the season, but is this head coach Jim Harbaugh’s best team?

The Michigan Wolverines entered Saturday undefeated and they end their day undefeated. Michigan is now 7-0 on the season following their 33-7 win over the Northwestern Wildcats.

With no loss on their record just yet, some are asking if this is the best team that head coach Jim Harbaugh has coached at Ann Arbor?

Following the game, FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt asked that question and said that he is not sure and that the “proof is in the pudding.”

Jim Harbaugh, Michigan sit at 7-0 after Northwestern win

Klatt brings up how the Wolverines have more answers when the opposing team takes away their first option than in the past. He also states that Michigan has the option to go to J.J. McCarthy if they need to, can run man or zone in the backend if the opposition is beating their man coverage, can get to the quarterback with the pass rush and stop the run.

But the question that remains is if that those things can lead the Wolverines to wins near the end of the season.

Michigan’s schedule only gets tougher from here on out. Next weekend, they face the undefeated Michigan State Spartans. On Nov. 13, the Wolverines face the Penn State Nittany Lions. Then, to conclude the season, Michigan battles their hated rivals in the Ohio State Buckeyes.

If they can pull out some wins against those aforementioned opponents, the answer to that question may very well be yes.
