FOX broadcaster Joe Buck was just calling the World Series like normal when PETA came for him for using the term “bullpen.”

Joe Buck must not have gotten the message from PETA before Game 3 of the World Series.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals made a push to get baseball to change the term “bullpen” into “arm barn.”

Apparently, the traditional term is not “animal-friendly” because a bullpen is where bulls would go to the slaughter. That’s not exactly what happens in a baseball park, but PETA has their messaging.

Joe Buck upset PETA by talking about the bullpen

Buck didn’t change his language during his call of Game 3, so PETA gave him some stick.

Don’t expect Buck to start calling it an “arm barn” any time soon. Though the question of how “animal-friendly” his last name is did come up.

Will PETA back off of Buck? We’ll have to see how far this feud runs.

In the meantime, Buck can focus on the World Series between the Astros and Braves. The two teams left Houston even at 1-1 while the weather has added some intrigue to the Atlanta stretch of the series. Buck has bigger things to think about than PETA’s ire.
