Auburn football is celebrating Halloween weekend with a small but bold tweak to their uniforms for the game against Ole Miss.

When you’re a program like Auburn and have orange in your school colors, you might as well lean into Halloween.

The Tigers are doing it right by turning their facemasks orange for Saturday night’s game against Ole Miss.

Auburn is wearing orange facemasks vs. Ole Miss

Auburn hasn’t worn orange facemasks since 1984, but their record in them is pretty good.

These ones are metallic and should look pretty spectacular under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Rebels will be wearing powder blue helmets against the Tigers.

It should be a game for uniform buffs everywhere to enjoy.

As for the football, Auburn has dominated the series recently. They bring a five-game winning streak into this year’s meeting. The overall series is also heavily tilted towards Auburn. Ole Miss has won just five times since 1965. The Tigers have 32 wins in that span.

Of course, this year the power balance is a bit different. Ole Miss is ranked No. 10 over No. 18 Auburn with Matt Corral in the hunt for the Heisman. Despite that, the Tigers are favored in the matchup.

If they add to their winning streak and win total in orange facemasks, the uniform tweak will. godown as a rousing success.
