21. Terrell Davis

Davis is another guy who suffers from the brief period of dominance affliction. Davis’ career lasted just seven seasons, but like Thomas before him, he was absolutely brilliant when he was at his best.

From 1996-98, Davis made three consecutive Pro Bowls and was named first team All-Pro each season, as well. He led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 1997 with 15 and followed that up with one of the best rushing seasons in NFL history.

The former Georgia Bulldog ran for 2,008 yards and 21 touchdowns, leading the Broncos to their second consecutive Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons. That year, he was named NFL MVP, as well as winning his second Offensive Player of the Year award.

Davis’ career was cut short due to chronic migraines, but he left a huge impact in his short career. He was named as part of the All-Decade team and inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017. Had Davis been able to play longer, there is a legitimate chance he would have broken the all-time rushing record. He is the best running back in Broncos history, and one of the great running backs of the 1990s.
