A Michigan fan decided to troll Ohio State head coach Ryan Day all the way from the Orange Bowl.

The Michigan Wolverines’ route to the Orange Bowl became that much more clear after they defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in the regular-season finale. After the game, head coach Jim Harbaugh relished in beating Ohio State for the first time as a head coach, and he took a shot at Ohio State sideline boss Ryan Day, saying that “sometime people stand on third base and think they hit a triple.”

One Michigan fan at the Orange Bowl decided to take a similar page out of Harbaugh’s playbook. This individual held up a sign that read “Ryan Day is still on third,” during ESPN’s broadcast.

Shots fired.

The Wolverines had a decisive win over the Buckeyes, defeating them 42-27. That helped Michigan reach the Big Ten Championship Game for the first time in program history. The Wolverines blew out the Iowa Hawkeyes 42-3. Shortly thereafter, they received the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff and a berth in the Orange Bowl.

Michigan faces a Georgia team that boasted a defense that dominated the opposition throughout the season. But in the SEC Championship Game, the Bulldogs were defeated 41-24 by the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Michigan fans sure are hoping that the team’s win over Ohio State this season helped create the momentum for them to win the CFP National Championship.
