Packers: David Bakhtiari set to return in Week 18

If head coach Matt LaFleur gives Bakhtiari the thumbs up, it will remain to be seen how much playing time he will get, especially with the playoffs on the horizon.

Just ahead of their final game of the 2020 regular season, Bakhtiari suffered the knee injury in question and was sidelined ever since. Bakhtiari was activated off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list in November but did have to undergo follow-up surgery on his ACL.

Now, he is on his way back, and it could not come at a better time for the Packers

In the second half of the season, the Packers showcased that they are the team to beat in the NFC. Aaron Rodgers is playing like the favorite to win the NFL MVP for the second-consecutive year. And now, he’s getting back his star blindside blocker? That is a huge plus for Green Bay as they look to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2010 season.

Kickoff for Packers-Lions will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET, live from Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
