While he only won one national title during a relatively short stint with LSU, Saban has won several with Alabama. His first with Alabama (and second overall) came in 2009, his third year in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide went a perfect 14-0 and cruised their way to a win in the Rose Bowl as part of the BCS.

Two years later, in 2011, Saban won his second as the head coach of the Crimson Tide when Alabama beat LSU in New Orleans in a game that was a rematch of a regular season tilt.
