Georgia football standout Jordan Davis shows off his Atlanta Braves jersey underneath during his school’s national championship parade.

Jordan Davis is a man of the people, as the Georgia football star repped his Atlanta Braves jersey underneath while celebrating his alma mater’s first national championship in 41 years.

While much of Dawg Nation and Braves Country overlap, it is pretty cool to see a native Charlottean show off his love for his favorite MLB team during one of the best days of his life. The unanimous 2021 All-American defensive tackle took home the Bednarik and the Outland Trophy this past college season. He and Butkus winner Nakobe Dean were the biggest stars on this team.

How is absurd is it the long tortured Atlanta, Georgia sports fanbase gets to celebrate the two most recent championships: The 2021 World Series and the 2022 College Football Playoff?

Davis projects as a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Though he will not be the first Dawg taken this spring, it is next to impossible for him to fall out of the top-32. His combination of size, speed, lateral quickness and football instincts will improve any defensive line. Even better, Davis has a larger-than-life personality, which has made him an absolute fan favorite of Dawg Nation.

There are many young men from this 2021 Georgia team that will go down as Athenian and college football legends. Davis will go down as the ultimate tone-setter on the field for this team. He was the big player who decided to come back for his senior season to take care of some unfinished business. Davis will leave Athens as a no-doubt, future College Football Hall of Famer.

Dirty Bird Nation is hoping to get some of this shine from the Georgia standout and Braves fan.
