Hailie Deegan gives a health update after scary NASCAR fire.

NASCAR driver Hailie Deegan was involved in a scary car fire on Saturday. According to ESPN, “Her left rear tire caught fire after she came in to change her second flat of the race, forcing her behind the wall with just 24 laps completed.”

She was pulled from the car as it filled with smoke as on-lookers watched.

Now she has updated fans on her health and gave an update on what exactly happened on the track.

“Yes, I’m okay now,” she wrote on Twitter. “Our truck and times were super fast. First flat was caused from the 91 plowing into me on lap 7 on the back stretch for no reason. I was on fire for multiple laps. I started suffocating and couldn’t breathe with the fire extinguisher and black smoke engulfed the truck on pit road. I couldn’t get out because I couldn’t see the window net. I declined my interview because I couldn’t say 2 words without coughing/choking.”

According to the outlet she “finished 17th, 33rd and 36th in the first three truck races of the season.”
