Arch Manning is heading to Tuscaloosa for a third time to visit the Alabama football program.

The latest update on the Arch Manning recruitment front has Alabama football fans very excited.

The five-star quarterback from New Orleans will be making his third visit to Tuscaloosa in two weekends. Manning visited Georgia for the third time last weekend and will be visiting Texas for a third time this weekend. He has seen a college football game on all three campuses. The Ole Miss legacy is also considering playing for his grandfather, his father and one of his uncles’ alma mater.

Being the third of three teams to get a third visit from Manning bodes well for the Crimson Tide.

It really feels like Manning’s five-star commitment will go to one of these four programs. Clemson was essentially eliminated from the conversation several weeks ago. While new head-coaching hires have allowed schools like Florida and LSU to somewhat re-enter the fray, it is going to be hard for any of them to keep pace with Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss or Texas for his commitment.

Reading between the lines, being third of three means Manning could commit to the Crimson Tide in early April. He may tell Nick Saban he wants to play for him if he has a great time on his third visit to Tuscaloosa. Of course, the Mannings are too calculated to have Manning commit on the fly like that. He would not have done that at Georgia last weekend or with Texas after next weekend.

What this all really boils down to is Manning is collecting and gathering as much information as possible when it comes to Alabama, Georgia and Texas. He already has so much baked-in knowledge with Ole Miss do to him being an Oxford legacy. Once he finishes his third visit with Alabama, a decision on where Manning could commit to may come within the next few weeks.

For now, Alabama fans should be pleased that the Crimson Tide are still very much in the running.
