Ohio State student plays musical tribute to Dwayne Haskins at Ohio Stadium memorial

A memorial was set up for Dwayne Haskins at Ohio Stadium and one Ohio State student played a beautiful musical tribute to the QB in front of it.

Ohio State Buckeyes fans and the football world at large has been mourning the tragic loss of former OSU quarterback Dwayne Haskins on Saturday, April 9. The quarterback was training in South Florida but was sadly hit by a car on Saturday morning, resulting in his death. He was only 24 years old.

Countless former teammates, coaches and fans expressed their sincere sadness at the loss of Haskins as a friend, teammate and even family member. Outside of Ohio Stadium in Columbus, a memorial was set up to honor the life of the quarterback who most recently was on the Steelers roster in the NFL.

At that memorial on Saturday afternoon, Ohio State student Adam Whitman showed up with his violin and played a moving, beautiful rendition of “Carmen Ohio” that will move anyone who hears it.

That music cuts right to the soul during such a tragic time in the wake of Haskins’ untimely death.

In the wake of Haskins’ death, there were numerous callous responses from senior members of the media that were completely unnecessary. However, it’s been clear from the response from everyone who knew Haskins that the world lost a good person, great friend, and lovable teammate.

Condolences continue to be sent to Haskins’ friends and family and may he rest in peace.
