The 2022 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and here, we dive into what the first round could look like when all is said and done with a new NFL mock draft with a new No. 1 pick.

The 2022 NFL Draft is getting closer and closer, and we are officially under two weeks until the action kicks off in Las Vegas, Nevada. There has been plenty of movement in terms of the draft order, and with limited time before the event kicks off, there is still a chance we could see more.

Here, we dive into one of our last 2022 mock drafts and see what the first round could look like when all is said and done.

Edge. Jacksonville Jaguars. Travon Walker. 1. player. 52.

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, and unless something crazy happens in the next ten days, they are expected to stay there. All offseason we have seen the potential top pick change, and here, we have a new face atop our mock draft landing in Jacksonville.

That player is Travon Walker from Georgia, who has seen his stock rise in a big way over the last few weeks. He fills an immediate void for the Jaguars, giving them an elite pass-rushing presence in a very winnable AFC South next season.

. Safety. Detroit Lions. Kyle Hamilton. 2. player. 50

Pick No. 2 in the 2022 NFL Draft belongs to the Detroit Lions, who hold two first-round picks this year. Their second comes at the end of the first round, but with the second overall selection, they get arguably the best player in this draft class.

Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame is one of the more NFL-ready players available this year, and he is not going to fall outside of the top-5. He plays a position of need, and with the NFC North boasting an all-time great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, secondary help is a must for the Lions.

Cornerback. Houston Texans. Sauce Gardner. 3. player. 10.

The Houston Texans are another team that holds multiple first-round picks in 2022, this after trading away Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns. With this pick, the third overall, they bring in another defensive back who has the ‘best player available,’ label going into this year’s draft.

Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner can do it all from his cornerback position, and he would be a guy who comes in and possible plays at an All-Pro level as a rookie. Head coach Lovie Smith is a defensive guy, and in Gardner, he gets the best cornerback in this year’s draft class.
