George Pickens getting drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers is the video content our souls crave.

By taking former Georgia football star wide receiver George Pickens at No. 52 overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers are getting an absolute Dawg!

Pickens may have dealt with a myriad of injuries during his final two years at Georgia, but the College Football Playoff National Champion is arguably the most talented receiver to come out of Athens since A.J. Green. So when he found out he was going to the best place for wide receivers in the NFL, Pickens did an amazing job of keeping things quiet to make this magical moment happen.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, here is proof that a video is worth more than a million.

George Pickens’ draft video of him going to the Pittsburgh Steelers is priceless

While people are going to laugh at what he was wearing and how he was conducting himself at home in his native Alabama, Pickens will be getting the last laugh, no doubt. He is everything the Steelers could want in a wide receiver. Pickens can play outside the numbers and go long, kick inside and dominate in the slot. He is not afraid to ruffle some feathers in run blocking either.

The talent Pickens’ possesses is undeniable. To get him and the heir apparent to Ben Roethlisberger in the same draft with Kenny Pickett should set up the Steelers for plenty of future success. Though it might be somewhat of a trying year for the 2022 Steelers, these necessary growing pains will give Pittsburgh an opportunity for a bright future in a deep AFC North division.

Ultimately, the Steelers pretty much replaced JuJu Smith-Schuster by drafting Pickens. Even if he might be a bit of a character, as illustrated by this draft-day video, Pickens has the potential to be a total fan favorite in the Steel City. He has that perfect makeup of being a star with a ton of grit. A lot of teams made great moves this weekend, but Pickens going to the Steelers is very much ideal.
