The Philadelphia Phillies are returning to the MLB playoffs for the first time in over a decade.

The Philadelphia Phillies last made the MLB playoffs all the way back in 2011. Back then, there wasn’t even a Wild Card game, let alone the best-of-three Wild Card series.

Now, Philly are only in the playoffs due to the expanded playoff picture as they will be the no. 6 seed in the NL Wild Card series, facing the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals.

Philadelphia Phillies playoff schedule

Since the Phillies do not have a bye in the aforementioned Wild Card round, they will play their first playoff game on Friday Oct. 7. For the Wild Card series, all three games will be in St. Louis and they will be played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (if needed).

Due to the lockout to start the season, the regular season schedule was altered slightly to accommodate all 162 games and the postseason is no different.

If Philly makes it to the NLDS and play in all five games of the series, they will play on Oct. 11, Oct. 12, Oct. 14, Oct. 15, and Oct. 16. It will still follow the 2-2-1 format but there will be no travel day between Games 4 and 5, as there was in previous years.

If they reach the NLCS, they would start play on Oct. 18 through Oct. 25, if they play all seven games. They would have a travel day between Games 2 and 3 but not between Games 5 and 6, unlike previous years.

If they make it to the World Series, the regular 2-3-2 schedule will stay the same and the travel days would as well (after Game 2 and after Game 5). The World Series starts on October 28 and would end no later than November 5.

How to watch the Phillies on TV

For the Wild Card series, the Phillies will be a few different places. On Friday (2:07 PM E.T. game), they will be on ABC. For Saturday, they will be on at 8:37 PM E.T. on ESPN2. If they need to play on Sunday, they would play at 8:37 PM E.T. on ESPN2 as well.

For the NLDS (if they make it), the Phillies would be on FOX or FS1 for all of their games. For the NLCS (if they make it), they will also be on FOX or FS1. If the Phillies make it to the World Series, then all of the games will be on FOX.

How to live stream Phillies playoff games

For Phillies fans in North America, MLB.TV will not be available as a live option for watching the games. However, you can sign up for a free trial with fuboTV and watch Phillies playoff games there.
