Skip Bayless agreed with the Chris Jones roughing the passer penalty during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders game.

It looks like the Tua Tagovailoa effect is here to stay. On Monday night Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones was handed a roughing the passer call for his strip sack on Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, which seemed excessive to pretty much everyone, except Skip Bayless.

“Clearly roughing the passer under the new rules. You hypocrites out there cannot express RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION over Tua, then be equally outraged over Brady getting the call after being slung down (just like Tua was at Cincy). TUA CHANGED EVERYTHING. CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS NOW,” he tweeted after Twitter went into a tailspin.

This call was similar to the one called on Saturday during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game when Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Grady Jarrett sacked quarterback Tom Brady, and Twitter was absolutely incensed then too.

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had some thoughts too, but they weren’t exactly in line with Bayless’ thoughts.

“WOW just WOW” she tweeted along with several trash can emojis.

In the call, Jones brought Carr to the ground, but was able to rip the ball out of his hands and secure it for a fumble recovery. Yet, the referees declared that Jones had roughed the passer. That completely ruled out the fumble, despite Jones recovering the football before Carr had hit the turf, and gave the Raiders the first down.

If everyone thought the debate on roughing the passer penalties was over, it has only just begun.
