Argentina vs. France live stream World Cup final 2022 on Dec. 18

Argentina and France will face off in the World Cup final on Sunday, Dec. 18 at Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Doha. Here’s how to watch. 

France will be looking to defend their title and become the first team in 60 years to win back-to-back World Cups on Sunday when they take on Argentina in the final.

Les Bleus, who won the World Cup in 1998 and four years ago, features a potent attack spearheaded by Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann.

The Albiceleste, meanwhile, are also looking for a third World Cup trophy after capturing the title in 1978 and 1986. Argentina are led by Lionel Messi, arguably the best player the game has ever seen. He will go up against Mbappe, his PSG teammate, at Lusail Stadium.

France has had a great tournament. They finished first in Group D, advancing after defeating Australia (4-1) and Denmark (2-1). The team, with a heavily rotated lineup, dropped their final group stage game to Tunisia (1-0).

France went on to defeat Poland 3-1 in the round of 16, outlasted England 2-1 in the quarterfinals and ended Morocco’s dream run with a 2-0 win.

Argentina, meanwhile, won Group C after losing their first game 2-1 to Saudi Arabia. Argentina grabbed six points after that by beating Mexico (2-0) and Poland (2-0).

In the round of 16, Argentina defeated Australia, then followed that up by eliminating the Netherlands 4-3 in a thrilling penalty-kick shootout after the game had ended 2-2. Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0 to reach the final.
