The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship on Sunday. Will Mecole Hardman be able to go?

Mecole Hardman has not played in a game for the Kansas City Chiefs this season since Week 9, but it looks as if we’re getting closer to his return and playoff debut.

Still, it’s not a certainty.

Hardman suffered an abdominal injury in Week 9 and has since then been dealing with a pelvis injury.

Is Mecole Hardman playing today?

On the injury report, Mecole Hardman is listed as questionable as of early Sunday afternoon. But a cryptic Tweet from Hardman himself definitely has fans wondering if the Chiefs and the wide receiver have something up their sleeve…

Mecole Hardman’s speed could add a layer of dynamism to Chiefs offense

The Chiefs are banged up going into the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Patrick Mahomes’s ankle has been a subject all week, and his mobility will be a massive storyline. Travis Kelce might not be able to go.

That puts the onus on other players to step up and allow the offense to continue being electric, which means if Hardman is ready to go, it would be perfect timing. His speed would be a huge asset for Mahomes if he isn’t able to create substance out of nothing as he normally can.

For now, it’s impossible to say. The official word is that Hardman is questionable, but his Twitter activity makes it unsurprising to envision a return against the Bengals, even if he denied the Tweet meant anything.
