Patrick Mahomes family: Five things you need to know.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be one half of a historic Super Bowl led for the first time ever by two black starting quarterbacks. But as famous as he’s become, his family has become just as well-known. And despite how much you think you know about the Mahomes, here are five things you may not know yet.

5. Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes just welcomed their second child together

Patrick and Brittany, who were high school sweethearts welcomed their daughter Sterling on Feb. 20, 2020, and were married on March 12, 2022. But in the middle of the 2022 NFL season, Brittany gave birth to their first son, Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes II on Nov. 28, 2022. The royal family of Chief’s kingdom has come together nicely.

4. Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson has quite the following on TikTok

Jackson, the brother of Patrick has more than 1 million followers on TikTok, thanks to his sideline antics and behind-the-scenes videos he produces of and with his brother. Though his popularity on TikTok is clear, he isn’t always the most liked person by Chiefs fans. Oftentimes fans have complained that he’s “annoying” or trying to steal the spotlight of his brother. But no matter what you think of Jackson, he’s here to stay (for at least as long as Kansas City has Patrick).

3. Patrick Mahomes’ dad was a professional baseball player

Pat, not to be confused with Patrick, used to be a professional baseball player which means top-tier athletes run in the family. Pat was a pitcher from 1992 to 2003 in the MLB and played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and the Pittsburg Pirates. That’s pretty impressive.

Patrick’s mom Randi works as an event planner and has her own website aptly called “QB Producer: The Official Site of Randi Mahomes.”

What a successful family.

2. Patrick Mahomes has two half-sisters

In addition to Jackson who we already talked about, Patrick has two half-sisters. According to People, Patrick’s related to “Zoe Mahomes, Pat’s daughter from a relationship following his split with Randi, and Mia Randall, who Randi also welcomed after their divorce.”

1. Patrick Mahomes’ dad wanted him to quit playing football

Did you know that Patrick played not one, not two, but THREE sports in high school? And, according to his MLB dad, he was pretty darn good at baseball and that’s where Pat encouraged his son to focus.

“I just thought we were wasting time when he could have been working on the sports he would go to college for, baseball and basketball. Plus, I didn’t want him to get hurt,” Pat told the LA Times. “You can tell by the way Patrick plays quarterback that he took pieces of his basketball, the jump throws and no-look passes, and pieces of his baseball, the different arm angles, and he put it all together in a package in football.”

Thank goodness he didn’t listen to his dad, right?
