Kyrie Irving is now a member of the Dallas Mavericks but there are already NBA rumors that he may not re-sign this offseason and look for a new home.

Kyrie Irving is an all-NBA talent who can be one of the major pieces that you need to win a title. He is an amazing talent and even with his destructive nature there may be a few teams who offer him the four-year max extension he’ll be seeking this offseason.

Presumably, with the number of assets given up in the trade for him, the Mavs will be one of the teams. Still, no one really knows how Irving will react given the fact that he is very unpredictable.

With a Kevin Durant-led suns team, Grizzlies, and Nuggets team; it seems like the Mavs may have a ceiling of the conference semifinals. Will Mark Cuban and the Mavs front office offer Irving the giant all-inclusive four-year max that he wants if Dallas doesn’t really go above their window of the second round?

Where else could Kyrie Irving sign if he doesn’t stay with the Mavs?

It seemed going into the year that Dallas had a ceiling of the second round via a Luka Doncic miracle in the first round and then getting swept by a team with two stars. With the addition of Irving, it still seems like the ceiling for this team is the second round except this time it could be a series where they lose in six or seven games instead of four or five games.

Is he worth the risk if he doesn’t really raise the ceiling for this yea,?

Is Irving still willing to give up a chance on the Suns (if they are able to clear cap space) or the Lakers even if the Mavs offer him a four-year deal? There have already been rumblings that both teams could be pursuing him this offseason and how the Mavericks finish the year could have a lot to do with where he plays next season.
