The return of Jon Jones is finally here…

After three years of build-up, and lots of bulking, Jon Jones (26-1, 1 NC) will make his highly anticipated heavyweight debut this Saturday, March 4 when he takes on former interim champion Ciryl Gane (11-1) at UFC 285. Not only will we get to see the consensus MMA G.O.A.T.  back in action but a new heavyweight champion will be crowned after the conclusion of the main event.

Whilst many are still picking Jon Jones as the favorite to leave the T-Mobile Arena as the new “baddest man on the planet”, Gane will present a completely new challenge for the former light heavyweight champion. The Frenchman has the size unlike any of Jones’ previous opponents at 205 pounds, speed unlike few heavyweights, and the technical ability to draw out decisions or go for the killer blow when it presents itself. Of course, his wrestling credentials are in question following his loss to former champion Francis Ngannou, a man with very few wrestling credentials himself, however, Jones has never had to try to lift a man that stands at 6 foot 4 inches and weighs close to 250 pounds.

The co-main event sees another one of MMA’s greatest of all time compete when Valentina Shevchenko (23-3) puts her flyweight title on the line for an eighth consecutive time against Alexa Grasso (15-3), who will be looking to become Mexico’s third world champion of 2023.
