See who walked away with some extra change in their pocket following the awarding of the UFC 285 post-fight bonuses

With two historic championship bouts in the main and co-main events, along with several highlight performances, UFC 285 proved to be one for the history books — just as much financially as it did action-wise.

An announced total of 19,471 sold out the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which hosted the UFC pay-per-view card. This brought in a total gate of $12.15 million.

This gate, according to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, is good enough for the fourth-highest in UFC history — and the biggest gate ever for a UFC heavyweight main event.

Three fighters — Jon Jones, Alexa Grasso and Bo Nickal — were awarded Performance of the Night bonuses. Meanwhile, the main card bout between Geoff Neal and Shavkat Rakhmonov earned Fight of the Night honors for UFC 285.

In the main event, Jones scored an approximate two-minute submission of Ciryl Gane to win the vacant UFC heavyweight championship. The fight was Jones’s first in three years and his first at heavyweight.

Jones became the eighth UFC fighter to win championships in two weight classes — the third to do it at heavyweight and light heavyweight, joining former archnemesis Daniel Cormier and Randy Couture.

In the co-main event, Grasso scored an upset, fourth-round submission of Valentina Shevchenko to capture the UFC women’s flyweight championship. Grasso became the first woman to submit Shevchenko and ended the flyweight title reign that began at UFC 231.

The highly-touted Nickal, a former three-time NCAA wrestling champion, made a successful UFC debut in the main card opener, scoring a first-round submission of Jamie Pickett.

Rakhmonov scored a final-minute finish of Neal in their main card bout, submitting him with a standing choke. UFC President Dana White said Neal would still be paid his bonus despite missing weight.
