New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh hyped up a player who could very well be a huge help to incoming quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The New York Jets are waiting on quarterback Aaron Rodgers to arrive, but still have to reach a final agreement with the Green Bay Packers on a trade package. Even so, general manager Joe Douglas has expressed confidence to Jets fans that Rodgers is “gonna be here.” Whenever a deal does happen, the Jets are going to be in good position to make a run for a playoff spot for the first time since the 2010 season. After all, they have been maligned at the position ever since that last trip led by Mark Sanchez.

Rodgers is going to enter a rather favorable situation in terms of the offense. In fact, the team is already hyping up a key piece on that side of the line of scrimmage.

Running back Breece Hall had a very promising start to his rookie season last year, but unfortunately tore his ACL in Week 7. When asked about Hall’s progress in rehabilitating his injury, head coach Robert Saleh said he “looks fantastic,” h/t ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

Hall was part of Douglas’ 2022 draft class that heaped universal praise on Douglas. Hall was playing like a legitimate Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite before he suffered his season-ending injury against the Denver Broncos. In fact, Rodgers got a good look at Hall during the Week 6 game between the Jets and Packers, as he ran for 116 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

In his seven games played, Hall ran for 463 yards and four touchdowns on 80 carries, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

When Hall is deemed good to go, that will only boost the Jets offense under Rodgers. Let’s not forget the team has Offensive Rookie of the Year wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and former Packers wideout Allen Lazard.
