Monday Night Football is one of the NFL’s most coveted primetime slots. What teams will get to play under the Monday night lights in 2023?

One of the better known institutions from the NFL is Monday Night Football, which had been the league’s spotlight series for a long time. The franchise has lost a bit of luster since moving to ESPN in 2006 but the league and network have been working hard to re-establish Monday night’s importance in the NFL lexicon.

The addition of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as the new broadcast team last season added more credibility to the Monday night package. The NFL has also started to give ESPN a better schedule, including a few games that either simulcast on ABC or air exclusively on the broadcast network.

Which Teams Will Be Playing On Monday Night Football In 2023?

The first officially announced Monday night game is a big one as the New York Jets play host to the Buffalo Bills on the anniversary of Sep. 11. The game will also serve as Aaron Rodgers’ debut as the Jets’ new quarterback, adding even more intrigue to an important showdown in the AFC East.

That is the only confirmed Monday night game so far but there have been a few leaks of other games, including a Week 13 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants. That contest will also be at MetLife Stadium as the NFL will be putting some extra focus on the New York teams this season.

Green Bay’s trip to Las Vegas in Week 5 is also reportedly set for Monday night, which would provide a bit of drama since that would mark Davante Adams’ first game against his former team since the Packers traded him prior to last season.
